MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN

Many things can make a human being snap at any time, but what happens to a parent when their innocent happy child suddenly comes down with an illness over which they have no power is only best imagined.

In the movie Miracles From Heaven, Jennifer Garner acts the role of a mother tossed into the near crazy zone when the family discovers that their 10 year old daughter has a rare and incurable disease. Refusing to resign to fate, Christy Beam (Garner) tours the country to find the best child doctor and hopefully a cure for her daughter, Anna Beam (played by Kylie Rogers).

At a point where all hope appears to be lost, little Anna gets in a climbing accident and falls terribly off a tree (could things get any worse?). But Anna recovers and tells of a visit to heaven while she was ‘out’ and a miraculous recovery from the hitherto incurable disease happens, leaving the family and doctors awestruck.

This movie tells of a God that shows up at moments when all hope seems lost. It particularly emphasizes how sometimes, it takes a crisis to bring out our strength and our deepest faith in who God is.

It is definitely a good watch.
