Keeping It Simple With Your Health

It’s already half way through 2013, how consistent have you been in ensuring that your food and health have been well adjusted to establish lifelong habits? Habits are built over time; but taking the first step is the biggest achievement. Have you reduced your food portions? Do you trim off visible fat from your meat? Are you drinking more water? Have you increased natural carbohydrates in your food and reduced pastries? Do you eat breakfast like a king and dinner like a pauper?

The list of simple things to do is many; just set few health goals at a time, and see yourself living them effortlessly. We all want to age and still be on our feet; active and still adding value to humanity.

As always, I am conscious of the time constraints many women have to face on a daily basis; preparing nutritious meals and food for their families or indeed themselves.

So I keep it simple! I am featuring today, something made from Plantain that is simple and exciting at the same time. Those ingredients are actually at home or in ‘Mama Cynthia’s’ kiosk in your neighbourhood.

Savoury Plantain Pudding is my offering, placed on a bed of stewed vegetable (EfoRiro) which I had in the fridge; Dinner was served in just 45 minutes and the 8 pieces of pudding vanished so fast, it was unbelievable. My hubby and two of his friends could not wait to be my tasters.

They gave their nod, so I am confident to share the recipe with you.
