ACCORDING TO IT’S KIND

Don’t you wonder at the creative skillfulness of God?  Aint you struck by His depth and breadth (not that we can fully comprehend this) of precision, thoughtfulness, mastery, forward thinking, orderliness, beauty, . . . that is evident in the expanse of created things that surround you? He created all things according to their kinds.  Science takes a cue from this very obvious fact, at least as far as the classification of plants, animals and other things in nature are concerned.  Interestingly, when it comes to man, science takes a detour and completely abandons reason, preferring to vote for theories of evolution and the like rather than the very obvious (or not so obvious) truth  that man stands out from every other creature- man is created after the kind of God!  I cannot but wonder, is Science so lily-livered that it cannot conceive of a “God-kind” man!?

Life tends to be normal and routine.  Wake up in the morning, family, folks go to work, children go to school, eat, have fun, celebrate successes, laugh, cry, and basically just do your ‘thing’ each day-, going through life as our parents did.

However, some particular days start out quite normal but before those days are over, the routine of life as we knew it is shattered!  An Ebola outbreak leaves you as the sole survivor of your entire district, you are raped/abused by people you trusted (you tried to confide in a few people but no one believed you), your partner files for a divorce, your partner infects you with AIDS (apparently, he’d been having affairs with all including your best friends), your partner abandons you and your five children, you lost your job, you’re framed for a crime you didn’t commit, your child dies despite your immense faithfulness and humble service/prayers to God, the doctor says you can’t have a child, healthy diet-abiding-gym-faithful you are diagnozed with cancer, you’re told you need a kidney transplant within 3 days, a drunk driver runs into you killing your family members and leaving you permanently disabled in a wheel chair, Boko Haram kidnaps your children and bombs your home with most family members in it, all your friends die in a plane crash (very unlike you but you were late for the flight), family members take over your inheritance and force you to the streets, you’re sold off to sex traffickers, a thief steals into your home and maliciously stabs everyone, a stray bullet hits your spouse, a helicopter crashes into your office complex, you buy poisoned beans that kills your father…

Basically, life pretty much just happens leaving you formless and empty with darkness over the surface of your deep. Genesis 1:1-2 describes such a disruptive transition from a normal state to a state of painful mayhem.

Those turning points disrupt life and make it impossible to live life to the letter of a pre-planned script.  These edges are destinies of the “God-kind” that force us to dig deep for the “God-Ability” in us and seek after conquests of valor.

At these times, the “God-kind” MOVES, HOVERS and BROODS!  Flowing waters move you to a vantage position where you can accurately access the damages and identify the possibilities for greater exploits.  Quality time is spent planning forward to establish a better and more excellent future.

The quest of the Knight in shining armour who seeks to rescue the beautiful damsel presents combats with dinosaurs, confrontations with witches, wading through treacherous waters, climbing dangerously high mountains, foraging  through the thickest forests, outsmarting strange beings; until finally, the damsel is rescued.  Like the Knight, we are to boldy advance to rescue the promises of a more beautiful tomorrow captured within the towers of the disruptions we’ll surely face on life’s sojourn.  Prayerfully unearth, dream big, think God-sized,  soar in your vision and keep moving until it completely manifests before your eyes.

One day at a time, the “God-kind” creates light, sky, heaven, land, seas, vegetation, sun, moon, stars, sea creatures, birds, animals,  and man (Genesis 1:2-31).  The days of creation are the seasons of growth in the life of the “God-kind” man.  Selah!

Life was not created to be stereotyped and is not created for stereotypes.  When life unsettles us with uncertainty, calamity or statuesque; we should use those very outliers as spring boards to launch our destinies.

It is not the nature of the “God-kind” to abide in passiveness. According to your “God-kind”, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion.”
