Everyone wants to be desired, valued and loved. At some point in our lives, we are lonely and crave for attention and affection. To some people, loneliness is a dark, deep space we hope the one who has our heart can fill, and sometimes, it appears that way. But the real question is, who has your heart?
Life is subtle, we must understand its intricacies to live our lives to the fullest and get the best out of it. You must understand that you are of too much value to be half loved; this is why you must guard your heart and not just open it up to anything and anyone; for out of it spring issues of life.
As far as human relationships go, it’ll do anyone a world of good to know and accept that there can never be absolute devotion or love from another human being. It has nothing to do with being with the right person or a good person. However much a person loves you, they can never completely satisfy your needs. This is because humans are limited.
There is however, one special person who loves you more than you think; he loves wholly, unconditionally and is perpetually mindful of you – He is God. He created each of us uniquely and shaped each heart differently because that’s where our purpose lies.
When we pursue after God, we set on a path to self-discovery, which is pertinent to fulfilling our purpose. It is in chasing God that we discover ourselves, our passions thrive, potentials are unleashed and our purpose becomes the reason for our existence. It is dignifying to discover who you are and what you stand for before running off after our earthly endeavors. That way, your emotions are not fiddled with and you are not susceptible to low self-esteem, rejection or abuse.
Chasing after Him keeps us in the alcove of His love and guarantees everything that we genuinely desire. While He keeps us in the alcove of His love; He prunes and grooms us to be princes and princesses of His kingdom.
Finding love is easy when chasing after Him. It is an open secret many haven’t taken time to discover and ponder on. Like loving someone who daily showers us with affection, loving Him is made easy because He loved us first and is fully committed to us. Not only are we made complete in Him, but He goes the extra length to send us the right partner to complement us in the journey of life when we accept and acknowledge Him as our first love.
In Him, we find answers to the questions of life, understand its basic principles and find peace in an unruly world. We also obtain the peace, through faith in Him that all will be well even when we do not understand and we daily receive a fresh opportunity to correct every shortfall.
Chasing after Him may seem inconsequential, but it is rewarding when you accept Him as Lord and Savior.
