What you feed on is what makes you. I grew up hearing my mum use this proverb, “whatever a bird eats is what enables it to fly.” Ever heard this before?
Over the years, I have come to realise that this is true. How far we go in life depends on the strength we’ve been able to muster. It could be quite frustrating to have a great journey ahead of you but no strength to continue.
Remember what God told Joshua? “You are stricken in age but there is still more land to cover.” How come Joshua was stricken in age but Caleb was still able to take his mountain? Caleb still had the strength of his youth, during old age.
Sistas, don’t burn out quickly.
The journey of life is a marathon and not a sprint. And because the journey is far, God has made provision for us to feed along the way. We must always feed and refuel to fly higher. Little wonder God’s angel came to strengthen Elijah with cake on coals in 1Kings 19. Because the journey was far.
It’s time for us to feed again. Join Bidemi Mark-Mordi, Audrey Joe-Ezigbo and Modupe Ehirim at the
