Pam, Veola, Catherine, Roz and Juanita: Different paths, Intertwined Destinies

0

These are the stories of some of these amazing women and how their individual destinies have somehow become connected to each other, just because they transacted with Anna McCoy.

Welcome! In this edition, GLL is different. Different; because we wanted to do something not only to honour or celebrate one woman who has a story; but five women, whose lives have become intertwined; because of their connection to another woman with whom they all share relationships.

I was in Dallas, Texas in the United States recently, and I had the opportunity to meet a number of women who, though they reside in the United States, and was meeting for the first time, are my sistas.

I have had the privilege of speaking with each one of them over the course of the past two years, and the opportunity of having them pray over me, as I have also had to pray over them. We have contended together for the highest possible good to be made manifest in each other’s lives, as we have also been able to collectively rejoice over our victories. All of these made possible by technology and the fact that we are all in a relationship, at one level or the other, with my Coach, friend and Sista, Anna McCoy, the Founder and Author of Woman Act Now (WAN).

These are the stories of some of these amazing women and how their individual destinies have somehow become connected to each other, just because they transacted with Anna McCoy.

Please join me in celebrating five vibrant Sistas of the heart; all at different seasons in the journey of life; whose destiny transactions have linked them with Coach Anna and with each other. I bring you–Dr. Pam Ross, Author and CEO of Kingdom Leadership Development Inc. and my Sista in Leadership Development. Catherine Franklin, Financial and Life Coach; the Founder of Thrive Inc.; and also my younger Sista, who is pushing the boundaries of youth development. Veola Davis; CEO, AMEN, Inc.; Soft spoken and quietly observing, who drove eight hours to honour me with her presence. Roz Knighten-Warfield; love personified. Quick to act, always ‘pushing’ to make life easier for everyone. She is the Founder of God’s Priority System (GPS). And finally, Juanita Fleming, the baby of the group, but by no means the least; warrior spirit, transparent to the hilt. All my Sistas because I, also journey with Anna McCoy. Enjoy them and please note that what you will read here is just a tip of the iceberg of what each one of them carries. Blessings!

HOW DID YOU COME TO KNOW COACH ANNA MCCOY?

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

PAM

I became acquainted with Coach Anna McCoy when I saw the book, Woman Act Now in our church’s bookstore. I was immediately attracted to her inviting picture on the front. I walked over and picked the book up and took note of the weekly WAN conference call. Monday I got on the call; Coach Anna asked me to introduce myself because my voice was unfamiliar.

She told me that she was coming to Chicago and would be happy to meet with me and perhaps, a couple of my friends. The next week, Coach Anna called to encourage me regarding some videos I was doing for my book. I was so impressed by her willingness to connect with me on a personal level. The rest is history; my life has never been the same.

CATHERINE

First saw Coach speaking at a God’s Leading Lady Conference and in that session, while she taught, my destiny was revealed to me. Two years later at another conference,

Coach and I met face to face and had a chance to converse, and I asked her if she could mentor me. I joined Woman Act Now when it was in the formation stage.

Coach has gone on to be not just my mentor and coach but a friend to our whole family. We love her and Richmond dearly.

VEOLA

As the primary caregiver for my mother (2009), father (2012) and grandmother (2009), my soul was in desperation to move to a higher level in the Lord and in the ministry He ordained for me. Therefore, I went on a quest to find another mentor who could identify with me as a Godly Black Female. I began to do some research via the internet on “Black Female Christian Mentor” and came across Woman Act Now (WAN), featuring Anna McCoy, in a live stream, influencing women. I viewed the screening ten times to ensure the message/ atmosphere resonated within my spirit. I refuse to compromise for the sake of success because I know there is a way to be successful in life while maintaining integrity. I eventually registered as a guest for the coaching calls, where I found much inspiration while in attendance. While visiting Dallas, Texas for a Mary Kay seminar, Coach Anna invited me and my guests to her home, where I realized I was set up for a divine connection that has really changed my life. Now I am a WAN Advisory Board member, always available for God’s divine use.

ROZ

After many years of being a spectator in the crowd, viewing the woman with the “Lion Heart;” I finally got the nerve to introduce myself to Coach Anna McCoy, co-founder of Jabez International and CEO of Act Now. My ‘honey’ and I had pressed our way in, to have a 15 minute meeting that turned into 50 minutes, where we were educated and exposed to new ideas on money management.Little did we know that we would fall in love with the transparency of her heartfelt stories; that if she could clean up and get out of debt, we could also do the same. It was at this event, I believe, that I came to know about Woman Act Now; in 2002. Today I am a ‘Mentor Me’ member and Prayer Leader. I continue to strive in development because of Coach Anna; who is an advocate for Jesus Christ and a lover of people, whose desire is to see women excel in the effort of achieving their dreams.

JUANITA

One evening in May 2009, I was at home working on my personal goals, dreams and visions, and as I was writing, the word ‘Kingdompreneur’ came to my mind, so I ‘googled’ it to see what I would find and to see if anybody owned the domain name. It turned up a ‘Kingdompreneur’ website, which was owned by the McCoys. There was also a link to an article by Anna and Richmond McCoy on Bishop T.D. Jakes’ website. I read the article and I was impressed with the information they shared. I was drawn to follow them so I began to watch her YouTube videos, and opted in, to receive emails from her organization to stay in touch with her teachings. In October 2009, I received an email that she will be at the Woman, Thou Art Loosed Conference as a guest on a Panel with First Lady, Serita Jakes. I went to hear her speak and afterward, I went to her table in the lobby and spoke with her assistant at that time, wanting to know what the organization was all about, she shared a lot of insight with me and also gave me a DVD to watch. Watching the DVD shed light on Woman Act Now and Coach Anna, after which I joined the group. I have been a WAN member since October 2009.

HOW HAS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH COACH ANNA IMPACTED UPON YOUR RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE OTHER LADIES FEATURED HERE?

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

PAM

Coach Anna is a connector. She has imparted to the women of WAN, values that create an atmosphere of fearless love.  That atmosphere has been the incubator for genuine friendships for me. We care about each other and contend for the highest good of our sisters. That’s WAN’s culture and it’s also the culture of our friendships. My friendship with Roz Knighten-Warfield has super-charged my dreams and visions. We hold each other accountable for our strength of mind and force of behaviour. Our mutual connection to Coach Anna McCoy recently brought me into the presence of Bidemi Mark-Mordi of Verbatim Communications. Our meeting was a definite destiny transaction. I believe God knit out hearts and doubtless, He will use us to empower churches and church leaders globally. Time won’t allow me to speak of Veola Harold Davies and her annual conference in St. Louis. MO, or Catherine Kary Franklin and her unique zest for life and passion for success. I remain inspired by the wonderful women of WAN.

CATHERINE

My relationship with Coach started the relationships with every woman here. And because of the influence of her character, all these relationships are drama-free. Before this, I did not know that one could have friendships with women that were drama- free. I did not know I could receive so much love from women. I am eternally grateful for my connection with Coach. I count it a divine connection.

VEOLA

Because of my relationship with Coach Anna, I have come to know, love and appreciate Roz, Pam and Juanita and so many others as family. Through my interaction with WAN, and through our weekly coaching sessions, weekly prayer calls, workshops, seminars and our “See the Dream” Weekends at Coach Anna’s home in Dallas, we have developed a deep genuine relationship on a personal, spiritual and professional level. We call and check on each other, pray together, pray for one another, encourage and support each other as we navigate through life’s journey.

ROZ

I have been blessed with a new ‘garden’ of friendships because my journey intersected with Coach Anna’s. I can’t list them all, but let me start with Veola Davis, up on a mountain top in California, I witnessed the birthing of her first conference and the next year, it was a reality. Now check this out, I drove to that conference with other WAN affiliates, Shemetris Vital of Vital Statistics and Juanita Fleming of the Chosen One Real Estate and these sista- connections have grown into valued relationships grafted for a lifetime of encouragement and witnessing that dreams do come true. Then there is a small package of dynamite, Catherine Franklin, the financial expert, and I have favoured one on one time of coaching and counselling, still getting those finances together. Wow, Dr. Pam Ross the serving, leading and loving expert; she has blessed my soul with wisdom and mentoring moments that are priceless.

JUANITA

My relationship with Coach Anna has blessed me with the opportunity to meet some gifted and talented women in and outside of WAN, with whom I have been able to build relationships for business, ministry and pleasure.

WHAT IS DESTINY TRANSACTION TO YOU?

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

PAM

I believe in the power of a destiny transaction. A transaction is an exchange. A destiny transaction is an exchange that advances, accelerates or changes a destiny. It could happen in a moment; exchanging ideas, resources, love or wisdom. Even the energy that someone else brings into my presence is a transaction.

CATHERINE

A destiny transaction is one that is directly related to the formation, sustenance, and revelation of your destiny. And that is what happened to me. The first time I laid eyes on Coach; she was speaking to an audience, and teaching about finances. And in that instance, God revealed my own destiny to me. From that moment on, I knew I had to meet this woman, whom God used to reveal my destiny to me.

VEOLA

Destiny Transaction is to me, a God ordained predestined exchange, which I refer to as a “Holy Ghost Hook-up.”

ROZ

Destiny Transactions are divine intentions; I often witness two or more women who are strategically placed to promote, share and encourage the Good News of Jesus Christ through the uniqueness of one’s dreams, visions and/or goals. How the individual journeys intersect; is for me what destiny transaction is about.

JUANITA

Destiny transaction to me, is when God connects me with someone, and we are both able to benefit from the relationship by working and playing a vital role, helping, supporting or assisting each other fulfil their destiny.

DO YOU BELIEVE DESTINIES ARE CONNNECTED; IF YES, HOW SHOULD WE CONDUCT OUR RELATIONSHIPS THEN?

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

PAM

I believe our destinies are connected. Christianity is a team sport. God connects His people for the advancement of their destinies and His Kingdom. When God brings someone into my life, I ask two questions: Who is this person?” and “What is my role in this relationship?” As we receive our answers, we can move forward with focus and purpose. Also, knowing that a relationship is God-ordained will cause us to guard, nurture and treasure it.

CATHERINE

Yes. God uses one destiny to birth another. Through Coach’s destiny, as a coach and midwife to women’s dreams, I have birthed my own dream. And interestingly, I was the first member of Woman Act Now; and as a woman of the nations; born and raised in Kenya, married and living in the US, I became to Coach Anna, a realization and symbol of her own destiny as a Coach to women in the nations.

VEOLA

Destinies that are divinely connected are to be conducted as under a covenant, for our Heavenly Father is a God of covenant. Therefore, when in covenant, all parties in the relationship are to cultivate the bond by offering or bringing something of value to the relationship; we are to walk together and align with the God-given vision, while staying focused on the vision; we are to link up and support each other in advancing the Kingdom; and most of all, trust God to propel each of us to the next level in our ministries at the appointed time.

ROZ

I believe destinies are connected on purpose and with intention. A wonderful example is 1 Samuel 10:1-7. This short story of destiny transactions layers into divine arrangements. I believe the two strangers were strategically placed to promote good news to Saul. It opened the door for news about his father’s lost sheep; and encourages me to never give up as someone close by may hold the key to the questions and challenges we face.

JUANITA

Yes, destinies are connected. Relationships should therefore be conducted with authenticity, integrity, nurtured with love, speaking the truth to each other, honouring one another; with transparency, understanding and loyalty; respecting each other’s differences and communicating, especially when there is a disagreement.
